PPCM FUND INC. is a 501c3 nonprofit organization founded by PPCM survivors dedicated to saving unsuspecting mothers and their families from the avoidable suffering associated with PPCM (Peripartum Cardiomyopathy).
PPCM is a preventable* pregnancy-induced heart failure generally caused by an internal buildup of fluid.
The BNP and NT-Pro BNP are specialized/screening blood tests that have the ability to catch pregnancy-related & induced heart failure (PPCM - Peripartum-Cardiomyopathy) early enough to help dramatically decrease maternal mortality in new mothers. This goes for animals as well; request an NT-proBNP test from your pet's Vet at their next visit.
